Also known as Loss of Hire, this business interruption insurance on vessels is for a stated daily indemnity, up to a maximum number of days and with an appropriate deductible period. The standard conditions of insurance in use for this type of risk are few, with coverage for a claim under these conditions being generally as per those marine perils that would be covered under a Hull & Machinery policy, with an extension of coverage sometimes being purchased for blocking and trapping.

Braden Marine is able to provide guidance on a casualty for loss of time and expediting expenses falling upon a Loss of Revenue policy, as well as its relationship to Hull & Machinery and/or General Average claims which may arise as a reult of the same casualty. Braden Marine has extensive experience in handling Loss of Revenue claims on all types of vessels in the transport of cargo and passengers, support services and the offshore energy industry.
